Guarantee:
We guarantee that all hedgehogs sold by us are in good health and free from any known
and undisclosed illnesses or defects.
Buyers are expected to have their new hedgehog examined by a U.S.D.A. accredited veterinarian
who is experienced with hedgehogs,
within 5 calendar days of the date of purchase. In the unlikely event that
a hedgehog sold by us is found to have a life-threatening congenital defect,
we will replace him/her with a hedgehog of equal value as soon as one is
available and once we have received the original hedgehog and
documentation from the veterinarian confirming such a
diagnosis. We reserve the right to a second opinion, at our
expense. If a hedgehog sold by us should be diagnosed with WHS
before the age of 3, we will replace
him/her with a hedgehog of equal value as soon as one is
available and once we have received supporting documentation from a U.S.D.A.
accredited veterinarian confirming the diagnosis. We reserve the right to
request that your veterinarian consult with Dr. Terry Spraker, DVM, Ph.D.
regarding proper diagnosing of WHS.
SPECIAL
NOTICE:
It is very important for all buyers to notify the breeder when an animal
dies from any condition that is known or suspected to be
genetic or hereditary.
 |
We
consider failure to provide the hedgehog with the proper temperatures, to be a form of abuse, which will nullify this
guarantee. |
 |
We
consider failure to offer a proper diet, consisting of LIVE insects a minimum of 3 days per week, to be a form of neglect,
which will nullify this guarantee. |
 |
We
will not replace any hedgehog that dies or becomes ill as a result
of any form of neglect/abuse; including, but not limited to:
the above mentioned temperature and dietary requirements,
gastric/intestinal impaction from freeze
dried insects, allergic reaction of any type, broken bones,
internal injuries, etc. |
 |
We will not guarantee nor replace any hedgehog that
has been treated with Ivermectin, regardless of whether it
is injected or administered topically or orally. |
 |
Our
hedgehogs are sold as pets only, unless purchased by a USDA
licensed breeder and it is stated on the receipt that the hedgehog
is for breeding. |
 |
We
will not sell hedgehogs for breeding to any unlicensed breeder and
if a hedgehog sold as a pet is bred, whether
the breeding was intentional or not, our guarantee is null
and void.

Purchases
of multiple hedgehogs are only available to USDA licensed
breeders. |
 |
We
are not responsible for any medical expenses with the sole
exception of a second opinion that is at our request. |
If a payment is sent and we

later determine
that the sale
is not in the best interest of the hedgehog, the seller or the buyer,
the payment in full will be refunded. This refund is
ONLY in the
event that it is our sole decision to cancel the sale and that our decision was
not based on deception on your part. If you have completed our
questionnaire and were deceptive about your age, your residence in a legal state,
whether or not you currently own hedgehogs, or your intentions as far as
breeding, we will not refund the deposit regardless of whether or not it
was our sole
decision.
Visitations:
We accept visitors
by appointment only.
Absolutely no drop-ins.
Due to the volume of visitation requests that we receive and the
availability of our scheduling, we
do charge a fee for the time that we spend
counseling potential buyers. Our fee
is currently $10.00 per 1 hour that we spend with visitors. If you purchase a hedgehog on
the day of your visit, the fee will be
waived. If you return at a later date to purchase a hedgehog, you will
receive
a $5.00 credit. We allow up to 4 individuals per meeting, so you may bring friends or
family members.
NOTE: If you have small children who are rambunctious, we
politely request that you not bring them for the appointment.
Deposits:
Please complete
the questionnaire
before sending a deposit.

The
deposit amount is $50.00.
A 5% fee applies to ALL PayPal payments. |
 |
Deposits
can be paid online via PayPal or you can mail a money order.
When mailing a money order, please understand that the
hedgehog is not reserved until the money order is
received. |
 |
Once
a deposit has been received, the hedgehog will be marked
"Dep. Rec'd ON HOLD for "Your Name". |
 |
No
hedgehog will be picked up until any/all pending payments
have cleared. |
 |
If
a hedgehog is being shipped, shipping will not take place
nor be scheduled until payment in full is received and has
cleared. |
 |
For
babies that are not yet weaned: you
are expected to pay the remaining balance in full and
pick-up the animal within 7 days of the weaning date. |
 |
For
hedgehogs that are ready to go:
you are expected to pay the remaining balance in full and
pick-up the animal within 7 days from the date the deposit
is sent, unless arrangements are agreed upon before the
deposit is sent. |
 |
If
the hedgehog has not been picked within the 7 day period, a
$1.00 per day (per animal) fee will apply. This fee will
apply (to cover the cost of care) even if you have made
prior arrangements to extend the pick-up date. |
 |
If
you're unable to pick-up your hedgehog within the time
specified, we would greatly appreciate notice ASAP. |
Deposits
are non-refundable:
By
placing a deposit, you are agreeing to our policies.
Note
About PayPal Payments:
A
5% fee applies to all PayPal payments. Payments sent using
debit/credit card are applied instantly. E-checks take
several days to clear. If your pick-up/delivery is in less than 10
days, please do not pay by e-check or the pick-up/delivery may
have to be rescheduled which may result in added fees.

Communication
& Pick-up:
If
you have placed a deposit/submitted a payment and we
contact you (whether via phone or email) you are expected to respond within 4
calendar days. If you do not
respond to our communication attempts, it will be assumed that you are forfeiting your
deposit/payment and upon
the fifth day, the hedgehog will be marked available
and your deposit will be retained. For payments other than the $50 deposit amount, you
will be refunded 1/2
of the payment amount unless the amount is less than $100, in which case
you will be refunded the amount minus $50.
Returns:
We would like to see every animal go to a forever
home but we understand that sometimes circumstances can leave some pet owners
with no choice
but to re-home or return their pet.
Our buyers are encouraged to contact
us first if they are unable to keep their hedgehog.
Our return policy
(for hedgehogs)
is as follows:

If a
hedgehog is returned to us, in good health, within 30 days of the purchase
date, we will refund 50% of the purchase price, minus the $50 deposit amount. |
 |
After 30 days, no refund is given, but we will accept the hedgehog as a rescue. |
SPECIAL NOTE: The deposit amount is included in every purchase. If
you pay in full at pick-up, $50
of that amount is considered deposit and will not be refunded should you
choose to return the hedgehog.
Shipping
charges & delivery fees will not be refunded.
No refund will be given for any
hedgehog that is returned injured or ill.
